There was lots of glitz at the Vodafone event—held in the indoor rooftop garden at London’s Walkie Talkie building—including rugby player Juan de Jongh wearing a haptic suit to simulate being tackled by colleague Will Rowlands at the Ricoh stadium in Coventry, and of course Hamilton, who is on course to be the most successful Formula 1 driver ever—with last weekend just being an aberration.

The technology improvements include Redstream, Vodafone’s converged fiber network which is currently handling 200 petabytes a month and is architected for a lot more, and significant internal cloud services development with 500 techies being insourced.
