The Santa Fe, Optima and Sedona are all part of the new recalls meant to address leaking brake fluid that could start a fire. 912"}’ section="annotation">Hyundai and Kia announced Thursday two new recalls to address a potential fire risk affecting 643,000 vehicles total, including the Santa Fe crossover SUV, Sedona minivan and Optima sedan.

In documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, parent automaker Hyundai Motor describes a situation where brake fluid may leak and cause an electrical short.

The Santa Fe may leak brake fluid into the anti-lock brake system module and also cause an electrical short.
